At Calvert Family Practice Associates, our entire focus is on caring for you and your family in a friendly, welcoming, compassionate environment. Our medical staff consists of Family Physicians, Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Family practice training requires three or more years in specialized residency training after medical school. To become certified by the American Board of Family Practice, a family physician is required to take a lengthy and detailed national examination. All Calvert Family Practice physicians are members of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Our professional care providers include:

CFPA welcomes Michelle Folsom, M.D.

Calvert Family Practice Associates is proud to announce that Michelle A. Folsom, M.D. joins our medical practice August, 2008. Dr. Folsom, is a graduate of the University of Maryland and also the University of Maryland School of Medicine.  She is a 2008 graduate of the Thomas Jefferson University residency program in the Department of Family and Community Medicine.

Dr. Folsom grew up in Clinton, Maryland attending Bishop McNamara High School and then the University of Maryland, College Park. She majored in Physiology and Neurobiology as an undergraduate, then attended the University of Maryland, School of Medicine and graduated in 2005. She spent three years in Family Medicine Residency in Philadelphia at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Dr. Folsom's parents live in Clinton and her sister is a teacher at a local elementary school. In her spare time, she enjoys baking and reading and numerous outdoor activities, including softball and tennis and jogging and cycling. Her interests within medicine include adolescent and women's health issues, as well as newborn care. Dr. Folsom looks forward to living and working in the Calvert County community.

Dr. Folsom joins Board Certified family physicians Dr. Michael Brooks and Dr. Kimberly Larsen and Family Medicine Certified Nurse Practitioner Heather Montgomery in providing professional family care for patients of all ages.  We are excited to welcome Dr. Folsom to the CFPA team.
